Pray for your leaders

Praying for our leaders has nothing to do with politics and it is not unique to democratic nations, it does not start yesterday or today it started long before the word democracy was coined.
This act was encouraged in many verses of the holy scripture of the christians. For example Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 "First of all, i urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, Godly and dignified in every way.
Roman 13:1, says that "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Peter 2:17 says "Honour everyone, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the emperor.
whether or not our leaders are follower of our religion, we should pray for them. Praying for our leaders is very lmportant and necessary because our leaders can affect the conditions we live in and have an lmpact on our families, places of work, business and many other unstitutions that makes up the super structure, which can influence us directly or indirectly.
Pray for your hometown
Pray for your state
Pray for Nigeria... And pray for your leaders.
