NIGERIA MY COUNTRY

WELCOME TO MY COUNTRY NIGERIA:
Where there are in abundance minerals and human resources but the majority of its citizens lives in poverty, they live in poor  environments, little or no access to good health care centers, Attends schools that are staffed with little and in most cases unqualified teachers who also took the job because they don't have any available alternatives.
Where 70% of its free land is very fertile, if cultivated properly can feed the whole of Africa, but those at helm of affairs encourages members of their corruption syndicate to import every agricultural products that can be produced by Nigerian local farmers in order to enrich themselves and further impoverished the masses in the country.
Where the evil men are celebrated while the honest ones are mocked and laughed at. It is common in Nigeria to see people celebrating corrupt men/women who had in one way or the other contributed to the economic downturn of the country through embezzlement of public funds, whereas the honest men/women who served the country with all their hearts are looked down upon because they did not Steal money to oppress the masses.
Where teachers in public schools who have the sole responsibilities of training the future lawyers, Medical Doctors, Engineers and so many other professions are owed for seven months, while the acclaimed law makers (National Assembly Members and States House Of Assembly Members) that cannot in anyways tell the masses how they have changed the life of any child positively, are being paid after every twenty (20) days.
Where recruitments for over six years are done secretly or called replacements across different ministries and other government agencies which also depends on the connections one has. That is, the money a male job seeker can afford to pay for job on the one side and the willingness of a lady to sleep with some number of men on the other side, because a job is hard to come by without any strings attached to such offer.
Where some group of people of the two major religion in the country can come together in unity to do things that can cripple the country and also do things that are prohibited by the law and their religions, but disagrees on things that will contribute to the development of the country.
Welcome to Nigeria my country where the fans of the Ex-president who spent six years in the office without achieving any meaningful development and was voted out massively by Nigerians, compares his achievements to that of the incumbent President who have just spent sixty (60) days in the office and have nicknamed him "Baba go slow" and some of them are busy praying and wishing to see him fail.
Welcome to Nigeria, a place where the taste for foreign things is very high to the extent that the majority of the people believe that things that are produced or acquired locally are inferior compared to the foreign products. This is one of the reasons why Nigeria is more or less a dumping ground for foreign products, the sorry mentality of believing that foreign things are superior is also pulling students out of the country to acquire foreign certificate.
Welcome to the country where all the aforementioned things happens and the people who are responsible for them go unpunished and those who are affected are looking  forward to the day they shall also be in such positions so that can do the same.
God you are the creator of heaven and earth, up and down, north and south, separate the evil men from the good men and deal with them accordingly for development of this great country.
This is a bitter truth about my country Nigeria. Some people believe that our leaders are the main causes of all this, some say we should also look inwards instead of putting all the blames on our leaders.
Despite all these,am Proud to be a NIGERIAN,AN AFRICAN till i rest in peace.
